Free for current students and faculty, with a long runway after you graduate. Verify with a current student ID or faculty ID and Backbuild Science is free. It stays free for up to 6 months after your ID expires, then individual researchers drop into a generous graduate discount ladder so you can keep working without an abrupt cliff.

Backbuild Science is free for current students and faculty with a valid student or faculty ID, and free for 6 months after the ID expires. After that, the Individual plan follows a graduate discount ladder on yearly billing so you can keep working without an abrupt cliff. Team, Business, and Enterprise are fixed plans billed yearly by seat.
Academic: Free
Free for verified students and faculty. Research workspace, LaTeX authoring, the HOL kernel and IDE extension, the UI proof system, and publishing tools, plus the AI research and writing assistant when you bring your own AI keys. Renew annually with a valid ID.
Individual: $20/seat/mo
For independent researchers. AI-assisted writing and proof drafting, and unlimited projects. Billed monthly, or $204/yr ($17/seat/mo). Graduate discount ladder applies on yearly billing.
Team: $60/seat/mo
2–10 seats. Shared project libraries, a team proof dashboard, and centralized license management. Billed monthly, or $600/seat/yr.
Business: $140/seat/mo
